Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a Quality Technician who will play a critical role in verifying that products, components, and manufacturing processes meet established quality requirements. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and production teams, this position will perform inspections, support root cause investigations, maintain quality records, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Where You'll Make an Impact
Inspection & Testing
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment
Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Support first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements
Quality Assurance
Review manufacturing documentation for completeness and compliance
Identify, document, and help resolve nonconforming materials and products
Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities and corrective action processes
Support internal audits and quality system compliance activities
Maintain calibration records and coordinate measurement equipment calibration schedules
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Assist with root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies
Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) implementation and verification
Partner with production and engineering teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability
Supplier & Incoming Quality
Inspect incoming materials and components from suppliers
Verify supplier documentation, certifications, and traceability records
Support supplier quality activities and investigations when quality issues arise
What It Takes
High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, or high-tech production environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality management systems.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment where priorities may shift quickly.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work in manufacturing, cleanroom, laboratory, and test environments as required.
Nice-To-Have Experience
Experience in aerospace, launch vehicle, satellite, avionics, or precision manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, or other quality management standards.
Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and inspection software.
Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis.
Experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
