Would you like to help ensure the quality of graphics and storytelling at some of the largest broadcasters and media companies in the world?  We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our R&D team in Bergen. We create advanced software solutions used daily by customers across the globe to deliver engaging and captivating stories. Many of our customers are household names, and your work will directly influence the quality and reliability of the tools they depend on.  This role goes beyond traditional testing. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality and enjoys building the systems, tools, and processes that help teams deliver great products with confidence.  You'll work closely with developers, UX designers, Product Owners, and Product Managers in a highly collaborative environment where quality is a shared responsibility. At the same time, you'll be a strong advocate for quality, helping the team continuously improve how we develop, test, and release software.  Requirements What You'll Be Doing  Owning and improving quality processes within the team  Performing exploratory and structured testing of new features  Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using Python and Pytest  Maintaining and improving test environments and virtual machines  Setting up and troubleshooting networking for test and development environments  Configuring and maintaining Kubernetes-based environments  Building and improving CI/CD pipelines  Helping drive release readiness and quality gates  Investigating issues, reproducing customer-reported problems, and working closely with developers on solutions  Continuously improving tools, automation, and workflows that enable faster and safer deliveries  What We're Looking For  We care more about attitude, ownership, and technical curiosity than a specific educational background or a certain number of years in QA.  Some qualities and experience that would make you successful:  A strong passion for quality and delivering reliable software  A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership  The ability to learn independently and solve technical problems  Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines  Experience with software testing, automation, development, operations, or similar technical roles  Experience with Python and automated testing, or a willingness to learn  Interest in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and cloud-native technologies  Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, or infrastructure automation is a plus  Experience working with both Windows and Linux environments is a plus  Experience with modern software development practices is beneficial  Why Join Us?   Work on products used by leading broadcasters and media organizations worldwide  Be part of a highly skilled and international R&D organization  Enjoy significant flexibility and autonomy in your work  Grow your expertise across testing, automation, infrastructure, and software development  Work in a culture that values quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement  Rarely work overtime while still solving challenging technical problems  Help shape how quality is practiced across teams and products  At Vizrt, quality is not a phase at the end of development.
