Description
At FTMO, we believe that company growth starts with people. We are a team that pushes forward together, supports one another, and celebrates shared achievements. Our environment creates space for talents to grow – individually, as a team, and across the whole company. As our QA Lead, you'll define and drive the standards, frameworks, and culture of quality across FTMO and our broader group entities—embedding QA as a core, ongoing part of the SDLC rather than a final gate. You will champion a "shift-left" mindset, turning QA into an accelerator for both development speed and platform stability. WHAT WILL YOU DO? - Define Group-Wide QA Standards: Design, evolve, and implement QA frameworks, methodologies, tools, and quality metrics (KPIs) aligned with our business goals. You'll take direct ownership at FTMO while acting as an expert consultant for our other group entities. - Embed Quality into the SDLC: Act as a key stakeholder across the entire software lifecycle, embedding shift-left practices and defining clear quality gates from early design through to production deployment. - SRE & Observability Collaboration: Partner closely with our SRE/DevOps teams to leverage SLIs/SLOs for setting test priorities and quality gates. Contribute to QA observability (Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus) and participate in post-incident reviews to drive root-cause prevention and regression coverage. - Drive Test Automation & CI/CD: Lead the selection and integration of modern QA automation tools and agentic testing into our CI/CD pipelines, optimizing test infrastructure efficiency and resource costs. - Lead & Mentor QA Tech Leads: Provide functional and methodical leadership to dotted-line QA Tech Leads across our micro-teams—acting as a mentor, technical guide, and the go-to reference point for software quality. - Champion Shared Responsibility: Shift quality from being a "final gate" to a shared, proactive mindset across engineering, infrastructure, and product teams. WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE? - 7+ Years in QA / Software Testing: Strong background as a Senior QA Engineer, QA Lead, or Test Automation Lead with experience functionally guiding or mentoring engineering teams. - Proven Track Record in Process Rollouts: Hands-on experience defining and implementing QA standards, processes, and scalable test automation frameworks across multiple teams. - Modern Tech & Architecture Stack: Solid grasp of modern software architecture, microservices, design patterns, and SOLID principles. - Automation & CI/CD Mastery: Deep experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines, with hands-on exposure to (or genuine enthusiasm for) agentic testing. - SRE & Observability Awareness: Familiarity with SRE principles (monitoring, observability, SLIs/SLOs) and core tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Elastic, or Prometheus. - Leadership & Influence: Outstanding communication skills—able to mentor Tech Leads, influence cross-functional teams, and present complex technical vision to senior leadership. - Fluent English (C1): Comfortable working and communicating daily in an international, Agile environment. NICE-TO-HAVES: - Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science. - Background in FinTech or regulated financial environments. - Deep hands-on expertise in observability platforms. HOW WILL YOUR IMPACT BE MEASURED? - Higher Stability: A noticeable reduction in regressions and bugs escaping into production. - Faster Feedback: Shorter feedback loops in CI/CD alongside growing, high-value automated test coverage. - Widespread Adoption: Successful rollout and voluntary adoption of QA standards, quality gates, and automated frameworks across all engineering teams. - Cross-Functional Success: Seamless collaboration across Dev, Product, and Infrastructure—solidifying QA as a key driver for development speed and platform reliability. WHY JOIN THE FTMO TEAM? - We are a Czech fin
