We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our Digital Engineering team in a permanent role. You will initially be assigned to a long-term customer project in Lyngby, working as part of a dedicated onsite team delivering and maintaining business-critical data integration and analytics solutions. As a Twoday consultant, you will be employed by Twoday on a permanent basis. Following the initial assignment, you will have the opportunity to work on other exciting customer engagements across Copenhagen. The role You will become part of a team responsible for operating, maintaining and further developing a number of data processing components that provide critical business data to BI tools and user interfaces used for planning and operational management. The technology stack primarily consists of: Python PySpark AWS Glue AWS Step Functions Athena SQL GitHub You will work closely with analysts, architects, developers and infrastructure specialists to design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and high-quality data solutions. Your responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the Value Team Lead and Business Analyst to ensure Jira issues contain sufficient information to support efficient and high-quality delivery Participating in backlog refinement and translating business requirements into robust technical solution designs Working with domain architects to validate and document technical solution designs Developing, maintaining and optimising PySpark code, AWS Glue jobs and Athena SQL scripts Promoting and applying best practices for PySpark and distributed data processing across the development team Designing and implementing unit tests in accordance with development standards Implementing data validation, error handling, logging and monitoring solutions, including Soda Core where applicable Producing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures Performing developer testing, participating in peer reviews and supporting the release process Creating and executing relevant test cases using Jira and Xray where required Documenting test results and supporting defect resolution Collaborating with infrastructure specialists on AWS platform maintenance and optimisation, including services such as S3, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, Terraform and Jenkins Supporting knowledge sharing and ensuring effective handover of technical knowledge within the team What we're looking for We are looking for someone who brings solid technical expertise together with a collaborative mindset. To succeed in this role, you should have: At least five years of relevant full-time professional experience developing Python-based data solutions using technologies such as PySpark, SQL and AWS Commercial experience with PySpark and distributed data processing AWS Glue and the wider AWS ecosystem SQL, preferably Athena SQL ETL development and data engineering best practices Git and modern version control workflows Unit testing and automated quality assurance Technical documentation and structured development processes Agile delivery methods and Jira Experience with one or m
