Company Our client is one of Qatar's leading Grade A construction companies with extensive experience in delivering major building and infrastructure developments across the State of Qatar. Role Summary The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and control of all day-to-day project activities to ensure the successful delivery of a major building construction project. Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager leads the project delivery team and coordinates all engineering, procurement, construction, planning, logistics, commercial, quality, and safety functions to achieve the project's objectives. The Project Manager ensures that all project activities are effectively coordinated and executed in accordance with the Contract, approved programme, budget, quality standards, safety requirements, and company procedures. This position is intended for an experienced professional with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale building construction projects for leading Tier-1 main contractors. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day execution of the project from commencement through completion and handover. Coordinate all project departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, planning, commercial, quality, and HSE activities. Develop and implement project execution strategies in accordance with the approved project programme. Monitor project progress against schedule and implement corrective and recovery measures where necessary. Ensure engineering deliverables, including shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, Technical Queries (TQs), mock-ups, and method statements, are submitted, approved, and issued to construction in a timely manner. Coordinate construction activities to ensure work proceeds in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies. Direct and support the Engineering Coordinator, Construction Manager, MEP Manager, Site Logistics Manager, Planning Manager, QA/QC Manager, HSE Manager, Procurement Manager, Commercial Manager, and Contracts Manager. Coordinate procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of approved materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Lead regular project coordination, progress, and planning meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, the Consultant, and the Client. Identify and resolve technical, operational, interface, and construction issues that may impact project delivery. Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and subcontractor performance, implementing corrective actions as required. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, approved programme, quality standards, HSE requirements, and statutory regulations. Support the Commercial and Contracts teams in the identification and evaluation of variations, claims, and contractual notifications. Monitor project risks and coordinate mitigation measures across all departments. Prepare and present project progress reports, forecasts, and performance updates to the Project Director. Foster a collaborative, proactive, and high-performance working environment across the project team. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 18–20 years of experience in major building construction projects. Minimum 12 years with leading Tier-1 main contractors delivering large-scale building developments. Proven experience as a Project Manager on residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, or institutional building projects. Strong multidisciplinary management experience across engineering, procurement, construction, planning, logistics, commercial, quality, and HSE functions.
