This role combines project leadership, business process improvement, grants management expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to support the agency's transition to a centralized grant management solution while aligning with industry best practices and federal guidance. Job Description The DRPT Project Manager will serve as the agency's Grants Management Contractor and Implementation Specialist, providing strategic guidance and hands-on leadership throughout the implementation of a pilot grant management platform. This role is responsible for evaluating existing grant lifecycle processes, recommending best practices, configuring business workflows, documenting procedures, supporting policy development, and collaborating closely with agency stakeholders and software vendors to successfully modernize grant management operations. Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead the implementation of a pilot grants management platform designed to support future migration of all agency grant activities. Provide subject matter expertise on grants management processes and federal Uniform Guidance standards. Manage project activities, priorities, risks, issues, and deliverables throughout the implementation lifecycle. Provide regular project status updates and communicate project risks and mitigation strategies. Grants Management & Business Process Improvement Evaluate current grant lifecycle processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements. Design and implement business processes within the grants management software platform. Assess and recommend industry best practices for grant applications, reviews, contract agreements, accounting, reporting, and claims processing. Advise the agency on monitoring grant expenditures, identifying inactive grants, and managing grant close-out and de-programming activities. Recommend improvements that increase operational efficiency and strengthen grants management practices. Documentation & Change Management Develop process workflow diagrams, field dictionaries, training materials, and supporting documentation. Document project decisions and obtain appropriate stakeholder approvals. Update or oversee the development of policies and procedures supporting revised workflows and system changes. Support organizational change initiatives related to new business processes and technology adoption. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with DRPT subject matter experts to align business processes with software capabilities. Work closely with agency staff and software vendors to improve workflows and system functionality. Facilitate communication across project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adoption. Requirements Minimum Qualifications 10 years of expertise in the grants management process lifecycle. 10 years of experience implementing and managing enterprise-grade grants management software. 5 years of experience working within public sector or government organizations (local, state, or federal). 10 years of experience in grant accounting, budgeting, an
