Description
Strategic Growth Partners provides both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client we are supporting is a premier provider of complex design and engineering services to the aerospace and defense industry. Additionally, they also provides program management support to many of its clients' R&D departments and is actively engaged in the development of several next generation platforms. Our client is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. This is a full-time onsite opportunity. This position requires an active Secret Clearance. Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance Workplace Type: Onsite, San Diego, CA. NAS North Island. Compensation: $55.00-$65.00 per hour The main responsibilities of the role include: · Determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and assigning personnel accordingly. · Analyzing and establishing project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. · Designing and conducting technical studies and tests to confirm product performance and sustainment viability. · Creating and managing detailed project schedules by calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements. · Monitoring and coordinating ongoing project activities, identifying, and resolving issues to maintain project timelines. · Controlling project plans through continuous review of designs, specifications, and schedule changes while recommending necessary actions to management. · Preparing comprehensive project status reports, analyzing trends, and providing strategic recommendations. · Responsible for planning and execution of engineering development efforts for a cross functional engineering and logistics team. · Responsible for overseeing and managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion. · Providing a blend of strong engineering expertise and proven project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. · Serve as a key liaison for the FST lead and various stakeholders, including clients, engineering teams, and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. · Developing and maintaining project plans, staffing plans, and related planning documents to support FST tasking. Minimum Experience Requirements: · Has over three (3) to 10 years of experience in Engineering and Logistics program/project management. · BS or BA degree in Business Administration or a "Relevant Technical Discipline". · Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment. Desired Experience: · Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Degree in an engineering field is strongly preferred.
