Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for Project Controls 3 & 4 positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.
Salary: $60hr – $95/hr (depending on experience) Location: Los Alamos, NM (TA-55) – Onsite preferred / Hybrid available Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required Work Schedule: 4/10s or 9/80 (varies by group) Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance (Active Q preferred)

Strong Project Controls experience (cost + schedule)
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 AND Deltek Cobra
Impact
Project Controls professionals at this level are essential to supporting mission-critical weapons production programs at LANL. You will ensure projects remain on track by managing cost, schedule, and performance using advanced EVMS tools in a highly regulated nuclear environment. Your work directly supports national security initiatives and complex technical operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support and maintain Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes
Perform cost estimating, cost control, and financial analysis
Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6
Utilize Deltek Cobra for cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting
Identify and communicate cost and schedule trends to leadership
Support project teams with planning, forecasting, and performance reporting
Troubleshoot and support Cobra backend/system issues
Ensure alignment between cost, schedule, and technical scope
(Level 4) Provide technical direction and oversight to project controls teams
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in project controls (cost + schedule integration)
Proficiency in Primavera P6, Deltek, and Cobra
Experience supporting EVMS-driven projects
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Ability to work independently in a highly regulated environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Desired Skills
Deltek Cobra Administration / backend experience
Experience with Delta/Cobra integrations or troubleshooting
DOE, NNSA, nuclear, or other highly regulated project experience
Experience working in classified or secure environments
Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities
Education and Experience Requirements
Project Controls 3:
Bachelor’s degree and ~8–10 years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
Project Controls 4:
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent)
