Description
TechGrove is the Centre of Excellence for Banyan Software, based in Chennai, India. It plays a key role in supporting Banyan’s global businesses through technology, security, and software development. TechGrove brings together India’s deep pool of technical talent with Banyan’s long-term approach to growth, creating a trusted, developer-focused environment where people can do their best work. Product Manager  TechGrove AI Engineering Pod You are the person who makes a great engineering team feel effortless. You turn priorities into a clean backlog, protect the team’s focus, remove obstacles before they become blockers, and give leadership a calm, honest view of progress and risk. You love shipping, and you measure yourself by what the team delivers. As Product Manager  you own the delivery engine of an AI Engineering Pod. You are not the Product Owner: the OpCo keeps ownership of product vision and prioritization. You are accountable for turning that vision into shipped features. You own the backlog, drive the cadence, and run the pod as a high-performing, AI-native Agile team. If you want to run delivery for a small, senior team building with AI at its core, this role is for you. About the Pod A TechGrove AI Engineering Pod is a self-contained, AI-native software delivery team that we embed inside one of our Operating Companies (OpCos) to build, modernize, and ship production software. Each pod pairs senior engineering talent with agentic AI tooling such as Claude Code, plus the accelerators of Banyan’s AI Application Modernization Factory, to deliver at a velocity and quality bar a traditional team cannot match. A pod is typically four to eight people, and OpCos add more pods as their ambitions grow. You will work as part of a tight, high-trust team with real ownership of what you build. Pods are delivered from Banyan’s India-based TechGrove. What You Will Do Own feature delivery: Own end-to-end delivery from backlog to production, accountable for the pod consistently shipping high-quality software against the Product Owner’s priorities. Manage the backlog: Own and groom the product backlog, translating the Product Owner’s vision into well-formed, ready-to-build user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Facilitate Agile: Run the pod’s ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives), protecting focus, removing impediments, and continuously improving throughput. Align stakeholders: Serve as the primary delivery interface between the pod and OpCo stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs. Champion AI-native delivery: Adapt Agile practice for a team that builds with agentic tooling (Claude Code and similar): how work is decomposed, estimated, reviewed, and accepted when much of the build is AI-driven. Drive predictability with metrics: Establish and track delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, quality), and use the data to forecast, surface risk early, and drive predictable outcomes. Manage risk and dependencies: Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and blockers, escalating and resolving them to keep the pod moving. Uphold the definition of done: Ensure features are tested, secure, and production-ready before release. What You Bring Experience: 5+ years in product management, delivery management, and/or Scrum Master roles for software engineering teams, with a track record of shipping production software. Agile mastery: Deep, hands-on command of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the facilitation skills to run a high-performing delivery team. CSM/PSM or equivalent is a plus. Backlog and requirements: Proven ability to manage a product backlog and translate vision into clear, buildable user stories and acceptance criteria. Technical fluency: Strong technical literacy to work credibly with senior and principal enginee
