Rockstar is recruiting for a digital product studio that specializes in turning ideas into extraordinary digital experiences. This client is a dynamic, remote-first team of savvy professionals known for pushing creative boundaries and delivering high-quality, user-centered products through a collaborative and lean approach. This client is building a bench of talented product designers for upcoming client work. They are looking for mid-to-senior-level freelance designers who can bring strong UX thinking, sharp visual design skills, and a collaborative spirit to the team. What they're looking for If you're a seasoned product designer with a passion for digital excellence, this opportunity is for you. You’ve honed your craft over the years, with a deep understanding of UX design, visual storytelling, and collaborative product development. You’re equally comfortable working independently and alongside a cross-functional team. You manage your time well, take ownership of your work, and make confident decisions with minimal oversight. You’re fluent in tools like Figma and Adobe Suite, and you bring a user-first mindset to everything you do — whether designing mobile apps or contributing to product strategy. If you're the type of designer who pushes creative boundaries, communicates clearly, and still knows how to have a little fun in the process — they’d love to hear from you. The Details As a Product Design Contractor, you’ll contribute to a range of client-facing projects, collaborating with the Chief Creative Officer and team across the following areas: Digital Product Design (Web & App): Shape intuitive experiences by applying research, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that elevate functionality and user engagement. User Research & Discovery: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform feature planning and prioritization. Help build products grounded in real user needs and business goals. User Experience (UX): Apply UX methodologies like journey mapping, user flows, and usability testing to define products beyond UI — ensuring seamless and strategic user experiences. Visual Design: Lead visual direction on select projects, producing compelling layouts and assets that translate beautifully across platforms — from product to marketing. Presentation Collateral: Design high-impact presentation decks and visuals that bring ideas to life for clients and stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product teams by providing annotated designs, QA support, and input during handoff and development. Additional Design Support: Contribute to project-related needs like case studies, marketing assets, and content design for social media or internal documentation. Qualifications 4–6 years of experience in product and visual design, with a strong focus on digital experiences across web and/or mobile Solid understanding of UX principles, including user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design decisions Demonstrated ability to own features or tracks of work with minimal oversight — from wireframes to high-fidelity execution Comfortable leading or contributing to discovery phases and helping define product direction in collaboration with strategy and engineering Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience working in a Mac environment Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Harvest Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-first mindset and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale Organized, proactive, and able to manage your own time in a fast-paced, remote work environment Bonus: experience working in client-facing or agency settings where flexibility, autonomy, and cross-functional teamwork are key What to Expect from the Process This is a contract-based role and part of an ongoing effor
