About the role
How we explain Point’s HEI directly shapes whether homeowners understand, trust, and move forward with us. As our second content designer, you'll work to bring clarity and consistency to every touchpoint of the homeowner journey. You'll write the emails, in-product copy, and explainer content that turns one of the biggest financial decisions a homeowner can make into something they can navigate with confidence.
Your responsibilities
Translate complex financial and process concepts into understandable, motivating language homeowners can act on—across email, text, and in-product flows.
Review homeowner research, call recordings, and funnel data to inform what to write.
Apply and help maintain Point's writing guidelines and messaging framework across customer touchpoints.
Collaborate with product designers, PMs, engineers, marketing, and sales.
Partner with legal, compliance, and ops to get copy reviewed, approved, and shipped.
Draft scripts and copy for AI-driven experiences like chat, voice, and our knowledge base.
Monitor copy performance — open rates, click-through, conversion — and iterate based on what you learn.
About you
2+ years of professional writing experience in content design, product design, UX writing, or a closely related field.
A portfolio that shows strong writing across multiple formats, such as product copy, emails, long-form, or marketing.
Active user of AI tools in your day-to-day work — you use them to draft, edit, research, and explore ideas.
Comfortable working with subject matter experts and incorporating feedback from many stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with grammar, tone, and consistency.
Curious about the customer — you want to understand who you're writing for, not just what to say.
Open to feedback and quick to iterate.
Nice to Have
Experience writing for fintech, financial services, or other regulated/complex industries.
Experience writing prompts, knowledge bases, or guardrails for production AI experiences.
Familiarity with A/B testing copy such as subject lines, headlines, and button text.
Experience drafting test plans, surveys, or light user research on copy.
