Description
Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. We are looking for a highly analytical, systems-driven Global Procure to Pay Process Manager to build and run the process and systems for the Procure to Pay function. In this role, you will be the ultimate owner and "face" of our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, managing a dedicated team of two. You will balance two critical functions: acting as a rigorous guardian of process governance, vendor risk, and SOX compliance, while simultaneously serving as an internal Process Champion who designs workflows to make procurement faster and easier. We are currently evaluating our overall tech stack, meaning you will step into a pivotal transition period—acting as the super user for our current intake tools (like Zip) while actively evaluating, migrating, and integrating future platforms from the ground up. We operate in a unique environment that combines the fast-paced, builder mentality of a startup with the structured, scalable rigor of a corporate enterprise. If you love turning complex procurement workflows into frictionless, compliant, and highly visible systems, we would love to have you on the team. This is a hybrid role, blending the flexibility of remote work with in-person collaboration at our Toast Chennai office. A day in the life (Responsibilities)  Thoughtfully structure and revise workflows and queues across the P2P domain. Your goal is to achieve the best of all worlds: driving efficiency, drastically reducing turnaround times, elevating the stakeholder experience, ensuring strict compliance, and providing clear visibility into the procurement lifecycle. Own process controls and governs the P2P lifecycle to ensure strict SOX compliance. You will run compliance reports, act as the definitive face of all P2P operations, and work seamlessly with internal and external auditors. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two procurement professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, high performance, and continuous improvement. Oversee vendor risk management programs, including risk tiering and ongoing monitoring, to protect the business and ensure we are partnering with secure, reliable suppliers. Serve as the internal system administrator and "super user" for current procurement tools (Zip and Navan) while spearheading the evaluation, transition, and integration of new platforms into our enterprise ecosystem. Build strong, trusting relationships with US and global stakeholders, utilizing exceptional communication skills to manage, influence, and drive change even without direct authority over those teams. Develop clear training materials and conduct regular workshops so internal teams can easily utilize procurement systems and adhere to procurement guidelines. What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) A Master’s degree in business, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in procurement process, systems administration, and governance. Deep expertise in process governance, establishing controls, running compliance reports, and successfully managing internal and external SOX audits. A strong background in vendor risk management, including implementing and managing risk tiering methodologies. A proven track record of designing, revising, and optimizing complex P2P workflows and queues to measurably improve cycle times and user experience. Demonstrated experience integrating new procurement software into a larger enterprise ERP ecosystem, with the agility to manage complex platform migrations and transitions. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated success in advising, convincing, and working effectively with US-based stakeholders. The ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams and initiatives without formal authori
