You've probably heard of Autotrader, but do you know what we're all about?
We're the most trusted, most visited automotive marketplace in the UK. A heritage brand and a tech innovator. We bring together vehicle buyers and sellers to give them real choices. Cars may be what we're best known for but we’re also the place for pretty much everything else on wheels, from e-bikes to caravans.
In the automotive world, change is a constant, that’s why we take our job of untangling the complex car-buying journey very seriously. At our core, we’re all about people. We go our own way while embracing diversity and celebrating our differences. We dedicate ourselves to the idea that we work better together.
Autotrader is a beautiful, surprising and vibrant place to work. We might not be for everyone, but we could be perfect for you.
About the job
As a FTSE 100 company, we work in a fast-paced and agile environment, which means collaboration is vital. Our Finance community, and in particular our commercial teams, are trusted business partners that provide the insight and analysis to help the business make strategic decisions. We’re looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Manchester office. Reporting to the Senior Pricing Manager and working closely with the Senior Pricing Analyst, you’ll work as part of a pivotal team that underpins the commercial and strategic decisions within Auto Trader helping to drive revenue and strategic optimisation. You will play a key role in our annual pricing strategy and review by enabling decision-making through the provision of well-thought-out analysis that considers the impacts of customer behaviours and models risks and opportunities. You’ll be able to produce analysis to prove the validity of pricing hypotheses and recommend actions as a result of the findings. You’ll gain great exposure to all areas of the business and truly be embedded across the different product teams, partnering with them to ensure that pricing and product strategies are synchronised, and we can apply our pricing framework, the principle of value-based pricing, alongside business knowledge that you will build up. Using your financial and data modelling skills you will be confident in offering recommendations for pricing and influencing product, sales and leadership teams to align on the optimum pricing decision.
