In this vital role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision turned components. You will utilize your technical expertise to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, creating accurate CNC programs that ensure quality and efficiency in production. Responsibilities Develop and implement CNC programs for turning operations based on technical drawings and specifications. Set up and operate CNC lathes, ensuring optimal machine performance and tool efficiency. Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy of components. Conduct regular inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues. Document production data, including programming changes, tooling used, and inspection results. Adhere to all safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices in CNC turning and machining technology. Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Turning Programmer in a precision machining environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and CAD/CAM software. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Proficiency in operating CNC lathes and related machinery. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with quality control processes and ISO standards is a plus.
