Description
We’re hiring a Power BI reporting specialist to build polished, business-friendly dashboards for a global healthcare organization. You’ll partner directly with internal stakeholders to translate messy, real-world questions into clear reporting, and you’ll own the full reporting cycle—from data prep and modeling to executive-ready visuals and performance. This is not software “frontend development.” It’s “frontend” in the BI sense: strong visualization, storytelling, and usability inside Power BI, with enough backend/data skills to make reports accurate and reliable. Responsibilities Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by operational and business teams Turn stakeholder needs into clear KPIs, report structures, and intuitive navigation Create and optimize datasets: Power Query transformations, data modeling, and DAX measures Connect to and combine data from sources like SharePoint lists/Excel and (ideally) SQL/Dataverse/other connectors Improve report performance (model design, measure optimization, visual best practices) Manage iterative delivery: frequent small requests, quick feedback loops, and continuous improvements Support basic governance: workspace access, sharing, permissions, and refresh reliability (gateway/scheduled refresh if needed) Requirements Hands-on Power BI experience building production dashboards (not just training/certs) Strong visualization/UX for reporting: clean layouts, drilldowns, usability, stakeholder-friendly storytelling Solid DAX + Power Query (M) skills Data modeling fundamentals (relationships, star schema concepts, measures vs columns) Experience working with business stakeholders and ambiguous requirements Comfortable with high volume of small reporting requests and fast iteration Good communication in English (written and spoken) Nice to have Dataverse experience (datasets, relationships, governance) SharePoint Online experience (lists as a data source, permissions basics) SQL familiarity (reading queries, understanding tables/joins) Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate) in a citizen dev context Exposure to RLS, gateways, and deployment practices across environments Benefits Long-term, stable engagement (contractor setup) Remote work with LATAM-friendly collaboration Work on reporting that supports real internal operations in a global healthcare environment High ownership and autonomy, with direct stakeholder impact
