Description
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager / Coordinator to join our telecommunications project for Arelion , one of the world's leading Tier-1 Internet providers. In this role, you will coordinate a portfolio of network-related projects and operational initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between customers, engineering teams, and key stakeholders while driving successful delivery across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive professional with excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Acting as the central point of contact for portfolio activities, you will oversee priorities, track progress, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with customer expectations. You will also identify opportunities for process improvements, support operational excellence, and contribute to building strong, long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Team Coordination & People Management: Coordinate the day-to-day work of the network team, ensuring consistent reporting and adherence to processes. Build strong relationships with team members: understand their challenges, recognize their achievements, and keep morale and motivation high. Act as the first point of contact for team issues, escalating when needed. Participate in the interview and selection process for new team members, providing input on fit and readiness for the role. Participate in goal setting, performance review and promotions. Customer Relationship & Communication: Serve as the main operational point of contact with the customer, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication. Actively gather and interpret customer feedback, understand their priorities, tasks, and pain points. Facilitate an open, ongoing dialogue between the team and the customer, ensuring expectations are aligned on both sides. Reporting & Operational Oversight: Consolidate and coordinate reporting from the team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor performance and operational metrics, identify trends, risks, or gaps. Collaboration with Senior Management: Flag issues, risks, and roadblocks to senior management proactively, with context and suggested next steps. Propose solutions, process improvements, and new initiatives based on frontline insight and customer feedback. Participate in planning discussions, contributing an on-the-ground perspective to strategic decisions. Requirements: Based in or willing to relocate to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Proven experience in team coordination, supervision, or operations roles (telecom/IT operations, or customer-facing teams preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with both team members and customers. Experience with shift planning and workforce coordination. Comfortable working with reporting tools and consolidating operational data. Fluent in English; Ukrainian or Polish language proficiency is highly preferred due to close collaboration with Ukrainian and European teams. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to bring issues to leadership along with proposed solutions. Availability to work hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Buenos Aires office. Previous experience in the Telecom and/or IT industries will be a huge advantage. Nice to Have: Prior experience managing distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
