About the Role Talarico for Texas is building a movement to take back power for working people. The campaign is seeking a full-time Policy & Special Projects Manager to produce high-quality policy research, execute our policy and communications strategy, and support various cross-departmental projects. Responsibilities Manage strategic planning and execution of the campaign’s policy platform Execute policy research and create one-pagers, issue briefs, and talking points Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, policy experts, and advocacy groups to gather diverse perspectives on policy issues Support special projects in collaboration with other campaign departments Requirements Qualifications At least 2 years of experience with policy and legislation, political campaigns, or related fields Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills Discretion when dealing with sensitive information Ability to learn quickly, implement feedback, and meet tight deadlines under pressure Willingness to be a team player and support colleagues and the campaign at large Benefits Reports to: Policy Director Location: Austin, Texas (Statewide Travel Required) Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 per month Benefits: Health care, paid time off, sick leave Talarico for Texas is an equal opportunity employer.
