Position Summary: The senior solution architecture manager uses their deep technical knowledge across multiple domains and excellent communication skills to work collaboratively to develop and implement patterns and best practices to ensure consultants and engineers deliver cost effective, secure, reliable, scalable and performant solutions that deliver business value. They have a deep understanding of the enterprise strategy and use their technical and communication skills to enable the strategy with technical solutions. A senior solution architecture manager will be accountable for the architectures of a complex ecosystem of enterprise platforms or products. They will work closely with product owners on PoCs, PoVs and ensuring the health of the products and platforms. They will be curious and be constantly scanning the market for new technologies and approaches that might add value.

Major Job Accountabilities:
Based on the strategy work with the consultants, engineers and chapter leads to develop relevant patterns and best practices to enable the delivery of cost effective, secure, reliable, scalable and performant solutions that deliver business value.
Effectively communicate the need for the standards so they are adopted and embraced by engineers and consultants
Implement effective practices to ensure compliance with standards and best practices
Develop pragmatic, effective, flexible architectures based on principles rather than dogmatic rules
Work with product owners and chapter leads to deliver effective PoCs and PoVs
Cooperate and coordinate with other architects to ensure a cohesive tech architecture approach
Supports squads in developing and maintaining suitable delivery metrics
Support Application Development Chapter Lead in implementing an engineering culture
Support Portfolio Senior Director in implementing an adaptive human centric system of work
Champions the adoption of agile practices
Coaches and develops the consultants and engineers
Develops a close working relationship with the principals to ensure technical excellence in everything we do
Financially literate and can interpret and make decisions based on P&L and balance sheet
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or equivalent experience
10+ years experience in software development or ERP/Platform consulting
5+ years of experience in relevant solution architecture
5+ years experience in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
3+ years experience in an agile delivery culture
2+ years experience delivering applications within an automated CI/CD, SDLC and automated testing advantageous
Airline or logistics experience an advantage but not essential
4+ years experience coaching junior team members
TOGAF qualifications advantageous
Skills
Experienced influencer and story teller with very good Oral/Written communication skills
Skilled Workshop facilitation in complex environments
Flexibility to adapt to a fast paced work environment
