Description
Cainiao, the logistics arm of Alibaba Group, is scaling fast to build a best-in-class network for pick-up points across France. Our goal: enable customers to collect their packages quickly, easily, and reliably – every time. As an Operations Manager – Pick-Up Operations, you will own the day-to-day running of pick-up services in your territory. You will lead teams, partner with businesses operating pick-up points, and ensure customers have a seamless experience from arrival to collection. You will deliver short-term objectives while driving continuous improvement toward long-term goals. We are looking for leaders who thrive in operational environments, take ownership, and make data-driven decisions. Job Description 1. Customer Obsessed: Ensure every pick-up meets or exceeds our service standards. 2. Lead and motivate teams (on-site staff, field coordinators). 3. Monitor daily operations and resolve issues in real time. 4. Manage relationships with partner-operated pick-up points (shops, franchises, independent relay points). 5. Track KPIs such as on-time pick-up rate, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. 6. Optimize processes, routes, and resourcing to improve performance. 7. Translate business goals into actionable daily and weekly plans. 8. Deliver accurate reporting to your Regional Manager, highlighting risks and proposing solutions. Basic Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field (Master’s is a plus). 2. Minimum 2 years of on-road management experience in pick-up operations, last mile, logistics or physical site operations. 3. Proven ability to lead teams and manage operational workflows. 4. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. 5. Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, dashboards. 6. Strong communication skills in French and English (mandatory). 7. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, if needed. Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience building and scaling operational networks. 2. Demonstrated track record of improving KPIs in a customer-facing environment.
