Akicita Federal is hiring a Pharmacist to deliver essential pharmacy services to the Navajo Nation community served by the Indian Health Service in Tsaile, AZ. This role puts you at the heart of a community health mission, providing direct pharmaceutical care to an underserved Native American population. You will work on-site as a key clinical contributor, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and culturally responsive medication management. - Dispense and verify prescription medications accurately, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance - Conduct medication therapy reviews and consult directly with patients on proper drug use, dosing, and potential interactions - Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to optimize patient medication regimens - Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and intervene appropriately to prevent medication-related harm - Maintain accurate and complete pharmacy records in accordance with federal and facility requirements - Manage controlled substance inventory and ensure DEA compliance at all times - Provide clinical guidance and drug information support to the broader care team as needed
