As a Peer Specialist, you’ll use your lived experience with behavioral health or substance use recovery to inspire hope, support growth, and walk alongside individuals as they build the life they want. You'll be part of a compassionate, person-centered team that values your voice and the power of shared experience. About ACT/ACT TAY/STEPS ACT (Assertive Community Treatment)/ACT TAY (Assertive Community Treatment for Transitional-Aged Youth)/STEPS (Shape, Teach, Evolve, Prepare, Support)   programs are a way of providing many types of service to people with chronic mental health disorders. ACT/STEPS teams provide services directly to people in their community. People who access ACT/STEPS services receive the wrap-around psychiatric services, but within the comfort of their own home and community. ACT/STEPS team members are comprised of professionals in the areas of psychiatry, social work, nursing, substance use disorders, supported employment, and peer support so they have the skills they need to meet the many needs of the people they serve. The ACT/STEPS team provides these services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, each day of the year.  This is a great opportunity for someone who:  believes that recovery is possible for everyone  wants to make a difference by encouraging others to take charge of their wellness eager to use their lived experience to inspire hope & resilience in others If you're passionate about peer support, community connection, and being a trusted ally in someone’s recovery journey, this role is a meaningful fit.
