Description
Join our team and help keep production running smoothly! As a Paint Assistant on our Powder Coat Paint Line, you’ll play a key role in preparing, painting, and finishing parts to ensure a high-quality final product.
What You’ll Do
Prepare parts for painting (plug holes, tape, mask surfaces)
Hang parts using proper hooks and spacing for optimal coating
Inspect finished parts for quality (runs, sags, missed areas)
Remove parts from the line and stack safely to prevent damage
Clean and maintain paint line equipment and tools
Record wastewater discharge and pH readings as needed
Safely operate equipment such as hoists, forklifts, or power buggies (as assigned)
Handle machinery and materials with care and attention to detail
Support the team with additional duties as assigned
Maintain regular, reliable attendance
What We’re Looking For
No prior experience required — we’ll train you!
High School diploma or GED preferred
Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions and safety guidelines
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; understand ratios and measurements)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Comfortable using hand tools and air-powered tools
Ability to operate or learn to operate a hoist and material handling equipment
Team player with good communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift
Frequent use of hands for handling, gripping, and reaching
Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment
Ability to work around noise, chemicals, and manufacturing equipment (hearing protection required)
Work Environment
Exposure to industrial materials such as paint, cleaners, fuels, and hydraulic fluids
Loud environment with required safety equipment
Repetitive lifting overhead
Safety-focused culture with proper training and PPE provided
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay wage: $19/hour
Shift: Day Shift (5am-3:30pm)
9 paid Holidays
