Description
Kepak Group is a leading European food producer and meat processor, operating multiple manufacturing plants across Ireland and the UK. Our Aberdeen facility is seeking a Packing Chargehand to help drive production efficiency and uphold our commitment to quality and safety. As a Packing Chargehand , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our packing operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example, maintaining high standards and supporting your team to meet production targets. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards throughout the packing department Operating and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance Inspecting and evaluating product suitability for packaging according to company and customer specifications Supporting the planning, monitoring, and control of resources to meet production targets Managing waste and ensuring compliance with environmental standards Completing duties within required timescales to achieve daily production goals Contributing to the training and development of team members and self Monitoring department housekeeping, tidiness, and fabric maintenance Carrying out additional duties as directed by the Production Manager or Directors Requirements Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a high-volume food processing factory Experience in a packing or production leadership role (such as chargehand, line leader, or supervisor) within a manufacturing environment Work experience in food production or meat processing manufacturing environments Ability to work in a chilled environment Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely Food Safety certification Fluent English (written and spoken) Right to work in the United Kingdom Availability to start work at 6:00am and flexibility for variable finishing times Benefits 31 days annual leave per year  (after probation).
