Description
We are seeking a skilled H-Beam Assembly Line Operator to assemble H-beams and structural steel members according to fabrication drawings, ensuring proper alignment, dimensional accuracy, and quality standards before welding. The ideal candidate should have experience operating H-beam assembly line equipment in a structural steel fabrication environment. Key Responsibilities Interpret fabrication and assembly drawings. Position web and flange plates for H-beam fabrication. Operate H-beam assembly line equipment, fixtures, and hydraulic systems. Check alignment, squareness, and dimensional accuracy. Perform tack welding or assist welders during assembly. Coordinate with fitters, welders, and quality inspectors. Report dimensional discrepancies and material issues. Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards. Department: Production Division: Fabrication Category: Skilled Operator Qualification Technical Diploma or equivalent. Requirements Minimum 2–5 years of experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication. Experience operating automatic H-beam assembly production lines. Knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings. Familiarity with measuring tools and assembly equipment. Good understanding of workplace safety practices.
