About the Role As an Operations Analyst at spiderSilk, you will sit at the intersection of Platform Engineering and Finance, helping ensure our platforms remain reliable, efficient, and economically sustainable as we scale. You’ll be responsible for tracking the metrics that matter most—reliability, performance, cost, and margin—and transforming data into actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Own and track key operational metrics such as uptime, latency, data integrity, and alert accuracy. Build and maintain monitoring dashboards that provide visibility into platform health, incidents, and emerging risks. Support post-incident reviews and work closely with Platform Engineering teams to drive long-term corrective actions. Monitor infrastructure spend and analyze cost drivers across products and environments. Develop dashboards that connect infrastructure costs with platform performance and business outcomes. Partner with Finance and Platform Engineering teams to investigate spend variances and identify optimization opportunities. Develop and maintain operational KPIs that balance reliability, efficiency, and financial performance. Deliver operational insights and recommendations to leadership teams in a clear and actionable manner. Requirements 4+ years of experience in Operations Analytics, FinOps, Infrastructure Analytics, Reliability Engineering, or a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity, or other high-scale environments. Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative mindset with strong ownership and curiosity. Technical Skills Strong SQL/MySQL skills. Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, or Kibana experience. Experience with observability and monitoring platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or other NoSQL technologies (nice to have). Python scripting, ETL pipelines, or data warehousing exposure (nice to have). Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
