About Us   🚀 We are seeking a talented and experienced .NET Developer to join our team for 1 year in Budapest. You will play a crucial role in shaping the backend architecture of our partner’s next-generation environmental monitoring platform. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project, work with cutting-edge technologies, and have a real impact on our partner’s product's future. The ideal candidate is a freelancer. Key Responsibilities 💻 Participate in the replacement and continuous modernization of legacy systems using a cutting-edge tech stack; Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end solutions with .NET 8/9 and ASP.NET Core; Work with MS SQL and Entity Framework Core to implement efficient and optimized data access strategies; Occasionally use SqlKata, Dapper, or other ORM/micro-ORM technologies; Collaborate with the team in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior developers; Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing (test coverage is improving but still maturing); Utilize Docker-based environments locally and work in cloud-first architecture (Azure); Participate in CI/CD pipeline maintenance using GitLab (cloud-based), as part of the development team's responsibilities; Rarely, but potentially work with legacy UI technologies like Windows Forms or WPF; Keep up-to-date with the latest .NET ecosystem updates — the tech stack is refreshed yearly.
