At adesso, we are looking for Data Engineers who know how to translate complex data issues into scalable, efficient solutions. Someone who embraces cloud technology, but also understands that good data solutions start with understanding the process behind the numbers. As a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer at adesso, you design and build modern data platforms on top of the  Microsoft Fabric  ecosystem. You’ll work with the Fabric Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks and Power BI to deliver robust, scalable and user‑friendly data solutions that enable our clients to become truly data‑driven. You will join our growing  Data & AI team in Belgium , collaborating closely with experienced colleagues from adesso in the Netherlands and across Europe. You get the energy and influence of building a new practice, backed by the stability, knowledge and customer base of an established international group. Your Role in projects: Design & build Fabric‑based data platforms Design and implement  Lakehouse architectures in Microsoft Fabric , using OneLake, Lakehouses and medallion (bronze‑silver‑gold) patterns. Build reliable batch (and where relevant streaming)  data pipelines  using Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2 and integration with Azure data services. Model data for analytics use cases in Power BI (star schema, semantic models) and for advanced analytics in Lakehouses. Ingest, transform & govern data Ingest data from APIs, flat files, on‑premises and cloud databases, and SaaS sources into  OneLake / Lakehouses . Implement clear and testable transformation logic (data quality checks, deduplication, SCD, CDC, business rules) using Notebooks, SQL, Dataflows Gen2 or Warehouse features. Apply data governance best practices (workspaces, roles, sensitivity labels, lineage, RBAC) across Fabric. Collaborate with Data & AI teams Work closely with data analysts, analytics engineers, data scientists and BI developers to make data  discoverable and usable . Expose data to end‑users through  Power BI datasets, semantic models and reports  built on top of Fabric. Support advanced analytics / ML workloads by preparing and structuring data within the Fabric environment. Operate & optimize Set up  CI/CD  and deployment pipelines for Fabric assets (Power BI, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Datasets) using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub. Monitor and optimize data pipelines, storage and workloads for performance, reliability and cost. Help define and implement  best practices, coding standards and reusable components  for Fabric within the team. Contribute to the Data & AI community Actively share knowledge within the Belgian and Dutch Data & AI community at adesso (brown‑bag sessions, internal talks, blogs, PoCs). Contribute to proposals and pre‑sales activities, helping shape new  Microsoft Fabric  engagements. Coach and mentor colleagues, especially around the transition from “classic” Azure/Power BI stacks to Fabric‑based architectures.
