  Mechanical Engineer Location:  Washington, DC   TS/SCI REQUIRED/Current CI Poly   Responsibilities: Develop and/or review planning documents Conduct building code compliance evaluations Perform peer reviews of plans, specifications, and technical reports Develop design concepts and detailed mechanical system designs Coordinate with architectural, civil/structural, and electrical disciplines Support project activities during design, bid, and construction phases Develop and review project schedules Conduct cost-benefit and feasibility studies Develop lifecycle cost estimates Serve as project or team lead as required Develop scopes of work and provide contract administration support Conduct technical studies and analyses Lead production of design and technical documentation Ensure adherence to technical and design standards Qualifications: Must have an active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph  Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of expereince. EIT Certificate required; Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.  Ability to develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of projects.   Experienced user on commonly used CADD software, including REVIT  Must be able to travel 10-20% including OCONUS Desired: Certified Building Commissioning Professional certification preferred  Autodesk Certified Professional preferred  Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification preferred
