Remedy Robotics https://www.remedyrobotics.com/ is a medical technology company developing robotic systems for endovascular intervention. Its proprietary technology combines robotics, machine learning, and advanced computer vision to help physicians perform highly precise endovascular procedures and expand access to life-saving stroke and cardiovascular care. Initially focused on neurovascular intervention, Remedy is addressing the limited availability of specialized treatment for time-critical cardiovascular emergencies, with the long-term goal of enabling expert intervention regardless of patient location. Headquartered in San Francisco, Remedy is backed by DCVC, Blackbird, and Tony Fadell's Build Collective, among others. We’re looking for a motivated, mechanical engineer to design key components of a novel, life saving surgical robot. WHAT YOU’LL DO: - Design mechanisms for a surgical robot and for single-use surgical tools. - Participate in the entire design cycle, including the development of conceptual and detailed designs for prototypes, pilot machines, and production machines. - Generate specifications, component drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation. - Participate in subsystem level testing including the development and execution of test plans as well as data collection and analysis. - Leverage experience and engineering judgement to rapidly design and produce proof of concept hardware for fast-moving research and development projects. YOU HAVE - 2+ years of industry experience. - Recent experience designing mechanisms. - Strong mechanical design, integration, and analysis skills using 3D modeling (e.g., OnShape, Solidworks) and structural methods (e.g., beam deflection, FEA) - Ability to work with hand tools and prototyping equipment. - The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. - Excitement for Mechanical Engineering and an eagerness to continue learning.
