Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Volvo Lundby, Gothenburg Job Type: Full-time, Senior Level Experience Required: 5+ years Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Volvo, located in Gothenburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive development, with the ability to work independently on mechanical design projects from concept through to drawing release. Key Responsibilities: Conduct mechanical design work, from initial concepts to finalized drawings. Ensure designs align with automotive production and industrialization processes. Work proficiently in CAD design software, preferably Creo . Demonstrate knowledge of systems such as KOLA, TIKA, PDM Link , and the Volvo release process (preferable). Establish drawings and manage the design process independently. Apply personal creativity, problem-solving skills, and take accountability to drive results. Qualifications: Solid automotive development experience with knowledge of production and industrialization processes. Proficient in CAD design , with a preference for Creo software. Experience in the design process, including creating and releasing technical drawings. Familiarity with Volvo’s internal systems and processes is highly advantageous.
