Learn more at AMPSortation.com. AMP is hiring a Materials Operations Manager to report to the Plant Manager in Commerce City, CO.
This role will work closely with our facility operations, finance and business development teams. This role requires a deep interest in recycling, as well as flexibility and adaptability to the evolving needs of AMP programs, projects and organization .
Responsibilities:
Materials Planning
Interfaces with the Commercial team on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments
Anticipate and forecast material demand
Provide forecast to Commercial sourcing team on material demand by week
Develop and distribute daily/weekly run schedule
Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements and company financial goals
Inventory Management
Communicate with plant colleagues on inventories and anticipated production needs
Ensure and capture inventory accuracy of downgraded and rejected material from suppliers, in process and post production
Responsible for total inventory accuracy of 98%+ in value by incorporating a cycle count procedure
Ensure material storage is in compliance with standards
Logistics
Oversee procedures for shipping, receiving and storing raw materials
Organize and manage deliveries, advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to set up deliveries. Initiate traces with carriers for proof of deliveries when needed
Resolve invoicing issues in cooperation with suppliers and accounts payable
Establish procedures and supervise the annual physical inventory
Supervise, evaluate and coach staff members
Ensure that the company’s standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions
Ensure all team members are trained and certified on tools, equipment and quality standards
Paradigm software knowledge a plus
Leadership
Coach members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that deliver results
Develop team strengths and improve weaknesses
Identify team goals and evaluate team progress
Organize team meetings, topics of discussion and progress toward the goal
