A Snapshot
As the Treasury Manager Japan based in Tokyo , you will report to the Associate Director, Japan (based in Tokyo). You will also work closely with the rest of the Tokyo team and global T reasury team, making your mark in a number of ways:
You will take a lead role in post-closing deal management
You will proactively contribute to the execution of new project financing loans
You will independently interface with banks and debt investors, supporting the ongoing management of lender relationships
Your Day to Day
Project finance execution: take an active role in the execution of new financing transactions, working closely with Associate Director, Japan and other key stakeholders. Responsibilities include preparation of bank presentation materials, review and negotiation of finance documents (including debt term sheet), financial model analysis, coordination of various third-party due diligence workstreams, engagement with external advisors (including legal and tax), and supporting the end-to-end financial close process including KYC, loan syndication, satisfaction of conditions precedent and settlement.
Post-closing deal management: independently manage existing loan facilities on an ongoing basis, including coordination of amendments, waivers and notices in compliance with finance documents, engagement with external legal advisors, negotiation with banks, and close collaboration with internal financial modeler.
Bank/Investor relationship management: act as a key point of contact for local and offshore banks and debt investors, leveraging understanding of market practice and local customs to support the ongoing management of the business and contribute to expansion of available liquidity to the business.
Operational support: provide hands-on support broader treasury activities as required, including cash management, risk management, and covenants management, contributing to the robustness and scalability of the treasury function in Japan.

6-8 years previous corporate treasury experience or corporate banking experience, with demonstrated exposure to project finance
