Description
Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here.  We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.  We want people who are passionate about facilitating connections and helping people find the career opportunities of their dreams. At DigitalOcean, we simplify the cloud so builders can change the world. To do that, we need managers who are empowered, informed, and human-centric. This isn't a "behind-the-scenes" HR role. We are looking for a Manager Success Partner who acts as the expert at the elbow—a thinking partner who doesn't just process people's problems but anticipates them. If you are someone who loves to dive into the "people cost" of business decisions, uses AI to automate the mundane, and builds the kind of credibility where you are the first call a manager makes, this is your next career chapter. We are looking for a Manager Success Partner to be the go-to thinking partner for front-line and mid-level managers. Reporting to the Director, People Business Partners, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and daily team dynamics. You will be responsible for building a deep understanding of our business model to ensure our people strategy drives actual growth. What You’ll Do Act as the "Expert at the Elbow" for managers, coaching them through difficult conversations and team dynamics so they show up better for their teams every day. Help empower mid-level managers to make high-quality, consistent people decisions, thereby protecting the company’s culture and legal standing. Handle "Complex Execution." These are tasks that require judgment and coaching, business understanding, contextual knowledge and experience, not just following a checklist. Drive Data-Informed Decisions by using HRIS (Workday) to surface trends in turnover and headcount, asking the "right" questions about the numbers rather than just passing them along. Enforce Data Hygiene as a non-negotiable to maintain a single source of truth, guiding managers to self-service tools and chatbots to ensure reliable, instant, and automated insights. Translate Engagement Data into Action by partnering with managers to make sense of team feedback and turning it into a living roadmap rather than just a static slide. Resolve Complex Employee Relations (ER) situations with consistency and care, building long-term credibility as a confidant who helps managers prepare for hard situations before they happen. Own the Execution of People Cycles (Performance, Comp, Surveys) with obsessive follow-through, keeping stakeholders informed and FAQs ready before they are even asked. Leverage AI and Digital Tools to reduce time spent on administrative drafting and scheduling, intentionally shifting your energy toward high-impact manager conversations. What You’ll Add Technical Breadth: 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on business partnership. You are a Workday power-user who is comfortable with descriptive data reporting and has a growing appetite for using AI to streamline HR workflows. Business Acumen: A working knowledge of SaaS business models and what drives growth; you understand how "people costs" impact the bottom line. The "Human" Element: You are a Credibility Builder. You possess the emotional intelligence to flag early warning signs in talent reviews and the courage to escalate concerns upward when something doesn't look right. Growth Mindset: You treat delivery quality as a reflection of your personal credibility and are always looking for ways to "leave the process better than you found it." Why You’
