Description
Position Summary: The Manager Purchasing Supply Chain is a business-critical position that ensures smooth sourcing & uninterrupted supply of contract packaging and trading items for the business operations, while also achieving the corporate strategic objectives of materials fulfillment, inventory control and supply competitive advantage. Key Roles & Responsibilities: § Envisioning & executing material supply and fulfilment strategies for India having purchasing annual spend base of Rs. 500+ Cr, with potential of enlarged responsibility of Asia Pacific based on performance, leadership skills and potential. § Leading a team of multi-location material purchasing professionals in India. § Bringing to the business a high level of supply market knowledge/intelligence of the supply industry at India, Asia Pacific & preferably global level. § Driving supply base (including local and global) and supply chain management ideas around material fulfilment and supplier performance through optimization of supplier performance/relationship management, smart supply chain processes, inventory management & inward logistics. § Working collaboratively with other functions like strategic sourcing (within department), operations/manufacturing, commercial & finance to delivery holistic business solutions and advantage. § Driving function specific financial goals like supply base performance, inventory control & working capital improvement. § Driving contemporary supply chain management systems through business processes and digitization. Owning and driving the new P2P automation process (under implementation). Candidate Profile : Qualification & Certification (if applicable) § Graduate in relevant area with minimum 60% throughout academics with MBA/equivalent as an added advantage . Experience § 7-12 years of experience in a large manufacturing organization. § Sourcing experience – a MUST – ideally should be a ‘materials/purchasing management’. Preferably from a manufacturing company (MNC or relatively large Indian co.).
