WPP is executing a global ERP transformation programme focused on deploying a common finance template built on the Deltek Maconomy platform. This solution is already live across multiple countries spanning Europe, APAC, the Americas, and the Middle East. Together, Maconomy and the broader Global Business Services application suite form the foundation of WPP’s global finance technology ecosystem.
A key objective of the programme is to ensure that Maconomy remains on the latest supported version, with the current roadmap focused on transitioning the entire application estate from the legacy Workspace client to the modern web client by mid-2027. This transition will require extensive functional testing to ensure a seamless migration of business-critical processes.
Within this role, you will be responsible for evaluating new product features and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to the organisation. The role will require you to test new functionality, provide internal training to business-as-usual (BAU) support teams, and develop documentation to support effective change management and user adoption.
What you'll be doing:
Manage the BAU environment associated with these tools, working with the business users, supplier teams, and 3 rd party helpdesks to triage & resolve application issues
Keep key stakeholders informed of progress on issues, enhancements, releases
Deliver small projects in conjunction with the Finance Application Product Manager – e.g. changes, new functionality, rollout of existing features to new geographies
Ensure that all changes (projects, enhancements, fixes) are fully tested, including by business users
Test the internally developed changes to the software
Working with users & technical teams to triage issues with individual applications to ensure issues are pinpointed and driven to resolution. This will include triaging / fixing issues relating to one application or interfaces between applications, often involving working with multiple suppliers to investigate & fix
Testing Support – carrying out SIT (System Integration Testing), documenting UAT testing, following up with users to drive completion of testing and sign-off
Carrying out System Admin or configuration activities on business applications – e.g. setting up or amending Security groups in accordance with audit and compliance
Monitoring performance of tools and tracking any issues and escalation in proactive manner, driving escalations as needed
Understanding and configuring tools for local deployment where any such configuration is outside vendor scope and outside the skillset of internal users
Develop & maintain documentation relating to configuration of the tools to simplify future rollouts & support Audit requests.
