Role Purpose As the Linux Server Patching Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, validating, and reporting on patching activities across Superloop’s Linux server fleet and a smaller number of Windows servers. This hands-on role is critical in reducing cyber risk exposure by maintaining timely security patching, controlled change execution, accurate patch compliance evidence, and lifecycle remediation for servers when OS operating systems go EOS. You will use automation and lifecycle management tools such as Ansible and Foreman, supported by vulnerability data from Rapid7 and other sources, to ensure patching and rebuild activities are risk-based, repeatable, and operationally safe. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute patch deployment across Linux servers, with limited support for a small number of Windows servers. Use tools such as Ansible and Foreman to automate patching, manage server lifecycle tasks, validate patch status, and improve repeatability. Monitor vulnerability findings from Rapid7 and other security tools, then prioritize remediation based on severity, asset criticality, exposure, and business impact. Maintain accurate patch compliance records, exceptions, remediation evidence, and reporting for Cyber and IT leadership. Work with infrastructure, application, and service owners to schedule patching within approved change windows and minimize operational disruption. Validate patches in non-production or controlled environments before wider deployment where required by risk, service criticality, or change approval conditions. Investigate and resolve patch failures, dependency issues, service impacts, and configuration drift identified through patching activities. Rebuild Linux servers where the operating system is fully out of support and can no longer be safely maintained through standard patching. Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, runbooks, automation playbooks, and patching schedules for Linux and Windows server patching. Track vendor advisories, zero-day vulnerabilities, and emerging threats to assess relevance and urgency for Superloop’s server environment. Ensure patching activities align with cybersecurity policy, change management requirements, vendor guidance, and applicable compliance obligations. Support audit and compliance requests by providing clear evidence of patch management controls, remediation timelines, approvals, and exceptions. Participate in cyber incident response where server patching, hardening, or urgent remediation is required. Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in Linux server administration, pa
