Description
We are looking for Lead Props Artist to join our core team! Unlike a traditional studio focused on a single IP, our company partners with world-renowned developers to bring their most ambitious titles to life. As a Lead you will act as a key pillar of our Props Team, overseeing artistic quality, mentoring talent, and establishing workflows across a diverse portfolio of high-end games. This role is perfect for a leader who enjoys variety, technical challenges, and the chance to influence multiple world-class titles. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Prop Artists, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews. Quality Control: Ensure all assets meet the specific artistic and technical requirements of our AAA partners, maintaining a "Gold Standard" output. Pipeline Management: Develop and optimize efficient modeling and texturing workflows (PBR) to meet demanding production schedules. Project Oversight: Manage the distribution of tasks within the team and ensure deadlines are met across various active projects. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Project Managers to identify potential risks and solve production bottlenecks. Documentation: Create and maintain technical briefs, style guides, and best-practice documentation for the props department. Requirements Experience: 5+ years of experience in game art, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Supervisory role. Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating expert-level skill in creating high-quality hard-surface and organic props (please include examples of various styles). Software Mastery: Expert knowledge of Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender, as well as ZBrush and the Substance Suite (Painter/Designer). Engine Proficiency: Deep understanding of Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5) or proprietary AAA engines. Technical Knowledge: Complete mastery of PBR workflows, UV optimization, baking, and LOD management. Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate artistic feedback clearly. Adaptability: Proven ability to switch between different art styles and technical constraints without losing quality. What We Offer Professional Diversity: The opportunity to work on multiple high-profile AAA IPs across different genres (Realistic, Sci-Fi, Stylized). Stable Growth: A permanent position in a growing company with a steady pipeline of world-class projects. Flexible Work: Competitive remote work options and a focus on healthy work-life balance (minimal crunch culture). Community: A supportive, international team of industry veterans who value knowledge-sharing and collaboration. Benefits Working with an international team of world-class professionals on exciting and challenging projects; Learning & Development opportunities – mentoring, lectures, participation at industry conferences and events; Medical Care package; Sensibly flexible working hours; Breakfasts, snacks and fruits available during the day, tea and coffee machines; Friendly team environment; Additional benefits – care bonus to cover health, educational and safety needs.
