Description
We're looking for an experienced Lead Compositor to join our talented and growing team in Bangalore. As a Lead Compositor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional compositing work while leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of artists. You'll work closely with the VFX supervisors, production, and other department leads to ensure shots meet the highest creative and technical standards, while helping drive consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across the team. Requirements Lead and support a team of Compositors, providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback. Deliver complex, high-quality compositing work to feature film and television standards. Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to plan and solve technical challenges and maintain creative consistency. Review shots for quality, continuity, and technical accuracy before submission. Balance the creative and technical requirements of each project, ensuring work meets client expectations. Help establish and maintain compositing best practices, workflows, and quality standards. Perform technical reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and support pipeline improvements where appropriate. Monitor team progress, identify risks, and communicate challenges or resource needs proactively. Foster a collaborative, positive team environment and encourage continuous learning and development. Skills and Attributes Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop artists. Technical skills and Experience Needed Extensive production experience as a Compositor on high-end Film and/or TV projects. Previous experience leading or supervising compositing teams. Expert-level proficiency in Nuke and modern compositing workflows with extensive production experience. Strong understanding of colour management, render passes, and image integration. Proven ability to manage workloads, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
