Description
Oikonomakis Law is a well-established international law firm with a demanding and high-profile clientele. As part of our continued international expansion, we are seeking to establish a collaboration in Australia with a qualified and experienced legal professional. We are looking for an independent lawyer or legal practitioner with a strong academic and professional background, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage legal matters with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism. The ideal collaborator will have at least five (5) years of post-qualification experience and will work closely with our international team in supporting both domestic and cross-border legal matters. Scope of Collaboration The selected collaborator will work with Oikonomakis Law on a case-by-case and ongoing basis, including: Advising and supporting clients on corporate, commercial, litigation, or general legal matters within Australia; Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, legal memoranda, and other legal documentation; Conducting legal research and providing practical, commercially focused advice; Communicating directly with clients, public authorities, and counterparties in Australia and internationally; Collaborating with our lawyers across multiple jurisdictions on cross-border transactions and legal matters; Representing or assisting clients before Australian authorities and courts, where appropriate and in accordance with local professional regulations; Supporting the firm's international network by facilitating legal services for clients with interests in Australia. Requirements Fully qualified Australian lawyer admitted to practice law in Australia and in good standing with the relevant legal authority; A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification legal experience; Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; Experience working with international clients or cross-border legal matters is highly desirable; Team player with a proactive and client-oriented mindset Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with an international legal team; Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining the highest professional standards. This is a professional collaboration opportunity rather than an employment position, offering the successful collaborator the opportunity to work alongside an established international law firm and contribute to legal matters involving clients across multiple jurisdictions.
