Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Trainer to join our team, supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, the individual will be primarily responsible for planning, creating, and executing test administration, learning management, customized subject matter-specific training, and educational courses delivered through instructor-led and web-based training environments in support of Veterans Health Administration (VHA) initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, coordinate, and execute instructor-led and web-based training programs to support VHA operational and clinical initiatives.
Conduct training needs assessments, evaluations, and analyses to identify communication, knowledge, and skill gaps among end users.
Translate identified training needs into effective workshops, learning modules, remedial training materials, and educational solutions.
Develop, update, and maintain training curricula, workbooks, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and other instructional resources.
Design and revise standard and customized instructional materials to ensure alignment with program objectives and adult learning principles.
Administer and support learning management systems (LMS), including course creation, enrollment tracking, reporting, and maintenance activities.
Develop, maintain, and manage training databases and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with program requirements.
Deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual, and online training sessions to diverse stakeholder groups.
Provide end-user support and guidance related to training content, systems, and learning resources.
Coordinate training logistics, schedules, communications, and administrative activities associated with training delivery.
Attend and actively participate in project meetings, working groups, committees, and stakeholder engagements.
Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and briefings to leadership, staff, and end users as required.
Assist with test administration activities, user readiness efforts, and training-related support for system implementations and enhancements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, clinical personnel, and project teams to ensure training content reflects current workflows, policies, and best practices.
Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on participant feedback, evaluation results, and organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Experience working in and/or training end users on Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) electronic health record systems OR Experience supporting training initiatives within the Department
