Description
InfraCore , a subsidiary of PLANET, is seeking a motivated Junior Oracle Database Administrator to support the management, maintenance, and monitoring of mission-critical Oracle database environments. Working under the guidance of senior DBAs, the role focuses on building hands-on database administration skills, supporting day-to-day operations, and collaborating with infrastructure and application teams, including assisting with disaster recovery (DR) activities. Responsibilities Assist in administering, maintaining, and supporting Oracle databases in production and non-production environments Support routine database archiving, partitioning, backup, recovery, and retention tasks under guidance Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability, and escalate issues as needed Assist in maintaining high availability and disaster recovery (DR) configurations Support DR switchover and failback activities alongside cross-functional teams Help apply database security measures, patching, and upgrades in line with InfraCore standards Help troubleshoot routine database issues and contribute to root-cause analysis under supervision Support releases and deployments with development and DevOps teams Help maintain and update technical documentation and operational runbooks Learn to identify potential risks and raise them with senior team members Requirements 1–3 years of experience in Oracle database administration, including internships, academic projects, or relevant coursework Foundational knowledge of Oracle administration concepts such as archiving, partitioning, backup and recovery Awareness of disaster recovery and high-availability concepts, with a willingness to develop hands-on skills Good collaboration and communication skills, with a strong willingness to learn Interest in working within high-availability, mission-critical environments under guidance Nice to Have • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • Database development experience (SQL, PL/SQL) • Scripting or automation experience • Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments • Oracle certifications
