ABOUT THE ROLE : The role involves deploying, configuring, and maintaining software packages for various high-profile IT systems, including the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). This includes supporting and improving the underlying systems to ensure optimal operation across the entire solution. The successful candidate will be focused on integrating new services and improvements whilst ensuring stability and performance of the system is maintained, by troubleshooting issues to root cause resolutions. This includes improving the security posture to ensure compliance with current and recently introduced security standards. In addition, the successful candidate should be a mentor for fellow support teams personnel. Main Responsibilities: Windows and Linux Server Management Microsoft Windows Server 2022 / 2025 administration Active Directory services, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO) Hyper-V virtualization and Failover Clustering Linux server administration using RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) Backup Solutions Installation and configuration of Veeam Backup solutions Creation and maintenance of backup jobs Experience in designing and executing disaster recovery and restoration procedures Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Solid understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts and components Familiarity with EIDAS and ICAO compliance standards and operational requirements Networking Setup and configuration of Cisco network devices Commissioning and integration of new network infrastructure into existing environments Setup and configuration of Cloudflare services Deployment, Patching & Change Management WSUS-based patch management and deployment Full lifecycle software deployment support Adherence to ITIL-based Change Management processes for production deployments Database Administration Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB Configuration, optimization, and routine maintenance of databases Scripting and query writing for automation and reporting Scripting & Automation Scripting using PowerShell and Bash for system administration and task automation Containerization Experience with Docker Desktop for containerized application development Deployment and orchestration using Docker Swarm Familiarity with container-based UI and service architectures ABOUT YOU Qualifications Higher level education in IT or a related degree. Or in the absence of a relevant degree an additional 5 years’ experience in addition to the years of proven experience listed below. Relevant Experience Proven 3-5 years’ experience successfully supporting, maintenance and operations in windows enterprise environments. Experience in audits and certifications such as ISO27001, EIDAS, ICAO Focus Areas (at least 2 years of hands-on practical experience in 2 of the below areas) DevOps & Cloud Engineering: Containerization & Orchestration (
