Description
Our client, a life science organisation, located in the south of the island is looking for an IT Operations Manager. List of duties 1. Operational Excellence & Run Management Ensure high availability and reliability of all IT infrastructure and network systems. Own incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident review processes. Define, monitor, and report on operational KPIs and service performance metrics. Maintain up-to-date documentation, policies, and infrastructure governance artefacts. Drive standardisation of operational procedures across the technical team. 2. Infrastructure & Cloud Administration Oversee Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365. Manage and evolve Azure cloud environment (hybrid infrastructure). Supervise virtualisation, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Ensure network security: LAN/WAN, firewall, VPN, segmentation. Continuously optimise infrastructure performance and capacity. Oversee cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability management, and patching cycles. 3. Leadership & Team Management Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 5 including Network Administrator, System and Network Support and ICT Technicians. Foster accountability, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset. Conduct structured performance and development reviews in alignment with HR. Lead effectively within a multicultural, experienced team environment. Identify skills gaps within the team and propose targeted development interventions. 4. Corporate Alignment & Stakeholder Management Collaborate with external technical partners and service providers. Translate strategic IT objectives into practical operational actions and team priorities. Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting to the Executive Committee as required. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Relevant postgraduate qualification or executive education is an advantage. Other IT certifications/qualifications requirements to be further discussed at interview stage. Candidates are encouraged to share all their IT certifications in their CV submission. 5 -7+ years in IT infrastructure and network operations.
