Join Comatec in Brașov, Romania, and take part in technically varied industrial projects where process requirements are translated into practical measurement and instrumentation solutions. In this role, you will work closely with automation, electrical and process engineering experts in an international engineering environment. You will be part of a supportive local team connected to Comatec’s international engineering network. Your role As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will prepare design documentation, select instruments and work closely with project teams and suppliers. Basic and detailed instrumentation design for industrial projects Selection of field instruments, measuring devices and analysers Preparing and maintaining key instrumentation documentation, including instrument lists, P&ID-related documents and technical specifications Designing installation, connection, cabling and field cabinet solutions Providing technical support for procurement, supplier cooperation and commissioning when needed Cooperating closely with automation, electrical and process engineering teams What we expect from you A suitable technical degree, for example in electrical engineering, automation, instrumentation or process engineering Experience in industrial instrumentation design Understanding of P&IDs and instrumentation documentation Good knowledge of process measurements and field instruments Good command of written and spoken English An independent, precise and systematic way of working Good cooperation skills and the ability to work as part of a project team Additional experience we value Experience in industries such as pulp and paper, energy, chemicals, mining or the marine industry Knowledge of process automation systems, such as Siemens PCS 7, Valmet DNA, ABB 800xA or Honeywell Experion ATEX competence Understanding of SIL and functional safety Knowledge of fieldbus technologies such as Profibus, Profinet, Foundation Fieldbus or HART Experience in commissioning, FAT or SAT activities Why join us?
