As the Life Sciences Industry Advisor at Anthropic, you will serve as the technical and scientific face of Claude to the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, contract research organizations, and research institutions. You'll combine deep life sciences domain expertise with technical credibility to help customers envision, architect, and realize transformational AI solutions across the drug discovery and development lifecycle — while building Anthropic's reputation as the trusted AI platform for one of the most rigorous and regulated industries in the world. This role sits at the intersection of scientific leadership, customer engagement, product strategy, and internal enablement. You'll work directly with Chief Scientific Officers, Chief Medical Officers, Heads of R&D, Chief Digital & Data Officers, Heads of Regulatory Affairs, and computational and translational science leaders at major biopharma and research organizations to design solutions that address their most critical challenges — from literature synthesis and hypothesis generation to bioinformatics, clinical trial design, and regulatory submission. Your insights will flow directly to Product and Research, shaping Claude's roadmap for life sciences. Equally important, you'll enable Anthropic's GTM teams with deep domain expertise, thought leadership content, and strategic guidance. With AI poised to compress drug development timelines and the industry seeking partners who understand the science, the workflows, and the regulatory bar, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing Anthropic as the AI platform of choice for life sciences worldwide. Key responsibilities Technical Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Represent Anthropic's scientific and technical vision to the life sciences industry through conference keynotes (e.g., J.P. Morgan Healthcare, BIO, DIA, SLAS, Bio-IT World), executive briefings, whitepapers, and scientific advisory boards. Establish Claude as the leading AI platform across discovery research, translational and clinical development, and regulatory affairs. Strategic Customer Engagement: Serve as executive technical sponsor for strategic life sciences accounts, engaging CSOs, CMOs, Heads of R&D, Chief Digital/Data Officers, and Heads of AI/Computational Science on enterprise AI strategy. Build peer-to-peer relationships that position Anthropic as a strategic R&D transformation partner. Product Partnership & Roadmap Influence: Translate customer requirements and competitive dynamics into product priorities. Partner closely with Product and Research to develop life-sciences-specific capabilities including scientific accuracy and citation integrity, GxP/validated workflows, data privacy and security, model governance, explainability, and auditability. Pricing & Commercial Strategy: Contribute to pricing and packaging decisions with life sciences market insight. Understand value drivers across discovery, development, and commercial functions, competitive positioning, and deal structuring that aligns with how biopharma and research organizations buy technology. Internal Enablement & Advocacy: Train and uplift Anthropic's GTM teams on life sciences domain expertise, scientific workflows, use cases, and buyer personas. Create enablement content, conduct training sessions, and serve as the internal authority on all things life sciences. Influence without authority across the organization. Regulatory & Compliance Navigation: Partner internally and externally to develop thought leadership on AI governance frameworks aligned with FDA and
