Support the design of distribution facilities, including new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes, and other material handling equipment changes. Utilize DMAIC process to implement changes that will improve efficiencies, capacity & throughput. Develop preferred methods/standard operating procedures for the warehouse in conjunction with operational support. Introduce and adapt improvement methodologies as appropriate (ex: Lean, Six Sigma). Manage processes, projects, and systems to achieve unit goals in accordance with company policies and practices. BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field is required. 2 years of engineering and project management experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments. Extensive experience with Excel and Word AutoCAD proficiency required. Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience. Experience with using and improving Warehouse Control Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
