What you can expect when joining the team Reporting to the Software Deployment Manager, you will work closely with healthcare professionals across Canada, ensuring customer satisfaction and delivering an exceptional experience throughout their journey with Petal. You will be responsible for implementing our software solutions for groups of healthcare professionals, medical clinics, and hospital organizations across Canada. As an Implementation Specialist, you will coordinate internal teams and customer stakeholders to keep priorities aligned with operational needs. Experience with physician scheduling, clinical workflows, or the day-to-day realities of managing medical schedules is highly valued and will help you translate customer challenges into practical solutions. Success in this role requires strong communication, autonomy, and the ability to anticipate risks and drive timely solutions through to successful delivery. Your day-to-day In your day-to-day, you will: • Lead customer implementations from discovery through adoption, serving as the primary partner to clinical leaders, physician schedulers, planners, and administrators. • Understand each customer’s scheduling environment, including coverage requirements, rotations, availability, absences, workload equity, and specialty-specific constraints. • Translate day-to-day scheduling practices into clear business rules and practical, sustainable configurations within the Petal platform. • Plan and coordinate implementation activities, keeping stakeholders, priorities, decisions, timelines, and deliverables aligned. • Identify risks, information gaps, and operational challenges early, and recommend solutions that balance clinical needs, customer workflows, and platform capabilities. • Configure, validate, troubleshoot, and optimize scheduling rules, constraints, equity parameters, and automation scripts. • Review scheduling outcomes with customers, investigate exceptions, and refine the solution based on testing and real-world use. • Build customer confidence and autonomy through tailored training, hands-on guidance, and clear explanations of system features and scheduling workflows. • Support adoption by helping customers adjust their processes and transition successfully to new scheduling practices. • Collaborate with Product, Development, Technical Support, and Customer Support to resolve issues and deliver a seamless customer experience. • Use data and reporting tools to validate outcomes, inform recommendations, and support operational decision-making. • Continuously develop your expertise in physician scheduling, clinical workflows, and the Petal platform while working proactively with customers across multiple time zones.
