We embrace an open and transparent culture that welcomes healthy debates on the use of technology in defence, its benefits, and its ethical implications.   The role The work is unlike anything you've done before.   Defence. Autonomous aircraft. Sovereign AI. Ethics. These are not the usual inputs for a graphic designer. But they are yours now, and the question of how you communicate them, visually, with precision and intelligence, is one of the most interesting design problems in Europe right now.    This is a high-output role. You will be the engine of a fast-moving creative team, executing across the full range of Helsing's visual output. The day-to-day Design web pages, social content, and digital assets    Create exhibition stands, event environments, and branded experiences    Develop identities for new and existing products or partnerships    Design product brochures, technical publications, and campaign materials that make complex ideas feel inevitable    Build presentations shown to the highest levels of government and industry    Work across clothing, merchandise, and brand objects    Own projects from brief to production, managing timelines, vendors, and your own judgment    You should apply if you Have a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work across diverse formats and disciplines. P lease include a PDF or link, with any relevant websites or videos    Your portfolio shows range: you have worked across formats, found solutions that feel inevitable in retrospect, and done the legwork to make things excellent You are comfortable with feedback, fast iteration, and working in an environment with multiple stakeholders You can manage several projects simultaneously without losing quality on any of them You take pride in the craft Have a rigorous understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and composition    Can translate complex, abstract, and technical subject matter into clear and compelling visuals    Are experienced building presentations and visualising proposals    Are organised, self-directed, and able to anticipate what a project needs before you're asked    Are intellectually curious, prepared to learn a lot about autonomous systems, military doctrine, and AI    Are proficient in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)    Are comfortable being wrong, getting notes, and making the work better for it    Note: We work in a field where women and other minority groups are systematically under-represented.
