A self-driven Golang developer and talented professional looking to step up. We’re expanding our product catalogue with newly acquired platforms and need someone who can take ownership, integrate them into our ecosystem, and make them shine. Developers comfortable with event-driven architectures and distributed systems who can work collaboratively within a big team but are also focused and able to lead on their own. What You’ll do: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend services using Go. Develop event-driven, distributed systems leveraging Kafka and gRPC. Own and evolve acquired codebases: integrate them into Valsea’s platform and expand their capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that deliver real product value. Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously evolve our backend stack with new tools and best practices. Build and maintain back-office APIs and admin tooling that internal teams and operators rely on. Strengthen observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure systems operate reliably under production load. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and proactively drive improvements. Share knowledge with teammates and help raise the technical bar across the team. What You’ll bring: Go: at least 3 years of hands-on experience building production-grade distributed systems. Apache Kafka: Experience with event streaming, messaging patterns, and integration into microservices. gRPC and Protocol Buffers for inter-service communication. PostgreSQL and Redis in production environments. Docker and containerized deployments. Event-driven architectures and event sourcing patterns: you’re comfortable reasoning about state, ordering, and idempotency. Product-minded: you think in terms of impact, user value, and business outcomes. A strong communicator: you’re able to explain both technical and product concepts clearly. You thrive in ambiguity: when requirements are unclear, you ask the right questions, align with stakeholders, and find a way forward.
