Flynn Canada Ltd., Canada’s leading building envelope trade contractor in the institutional, commercial and industrial construction marketplace is looking for a Glazing Project Manager to work from our Winnipeg location.
A Day in the Life
Manage budgets and labour Targets
Work closely with project team and customers
Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, external suppliers, and customers.
Identify potential conflicts and negotiate best solutions
Main point of contact for assigned scope of work
Lead project kickoffs, hand offs and autopsy meetings with the project team
Work with Safety, Site Superintendent, and Foreperson to ensure all safety measures are in place
Pre-plan the execution of projects and develop schedule with project team
Develop, track and negotiate change orders
Responsible for time, cost and overall project performance and quality
What We Are Seeking
Min. 5+ years’ experience within a Project Manager, Estimator or Project Coordinator Role in a commercial construction industry.
Experience in commercial glazing trade.
Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field and asset.
Knowledge of the curtain wall/glazing and building envelope industry is considered an asset.
Proficiency in MS office and project management software, including MS Project, Procore, etc.
Strong blueprint reading skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
